About TechPioneers (Computer Science) of Aryabhatta College
TechPioneers is the official society of the Department of Computer Science, Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi. This society was instituted by a group of devoted faculty members and inspired students to pursue computer science outside the classrooms and to facilitate open dialogue between the computer science departments of other colleges.
The society aims to organize stimulating events that encourage participation from different colleges and universities. It has featured many interactive speaking sessions with well-reputed speakers. The society has been organizing Alumni Meets with its alumni, which helps our college to relive the past memories and students to learn something along with it. TechPioneers also acts as a knowledge-building body by organizing plenty of workshops and seminars on various topics like SEO and Cyber Security. Furthermore, the annual fest CELESTECH is organized in the month of February/ March, which includes students having fun while gaining knowledge. It includes events like Codathon, Scavengerhunt, Inquisitive, and many short fun games as well.
We believe that along with studying, the students need an equal emphasis on gaining knowledge from a source different from textbooks!
TechPioneers launched the Webinar series, “ALUMNI SPEAK”, where Computer
Science Alumni would share their experience and inspire the students during 2020-2021
- Episode 1 of Alumni Speak Series: ‘A Journey from B. Sc. (H) to M.S.’
Episode 1 had Yash Sharma (Batch 2016-19, Aryabhatta College) speak on – ‘A Journey from B. Sc. (H) to M.S.’ (29th October 2020). Yash is currently pursuing Masters in Computer Science and Knowledge Discovery at Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University, Russia. The objective of this session was to provide the students with an idea of how they can improve their skills during college, which would give them a good head start in their jobs. The session gave an overview of higher studies abroad and ways to prepare for the same. Students from various colleges enthusiastically attended the session. The session saw an overwhelming response from 2nd year and 3rd year students. A total of 84 students and some faculty participated in the session.
- Episode 2 of Alumni Speak Series: ‘Careers in Data Science and Related Fields’
For the Episode 2 of Alumni Speak Series , Manoj Kumar (Batch 2016-19, Aryabhatta College) spoke on ‘Careers in Data Science and Related Fields’ (20th January 2021). Manoj is currently pursuing Masters of Operational Research from University of Delhi. The primary objective of this session was to make students aware of the various careers in the field of Data Science and other related job profiles. The session saw a visibly overwhelming response of over 80 students of different domains like Computer science, Mathematics, BBE, BMS & MCA. It was attended by a large number of students and some faculty members and respected Principal, Mr. Manoj Sinha.
- In-House Skill Development Workshop on “Augmented Reality”
TechPioneers successfully organized the In-House Skill Development Workshop on “Augmented Reality” (12th & 13th February 2021). The resource person for the workshop was Syed Mohammed Yadullah Abidi, 3rd year student of B.Sc. (H) Computer Science of the college. The primary objective of this workshop was to make students aware of the various prospects of Augmented Reality (AR) and how to work with Unity software for creating exciting projects/apps on the same. Yadullah Abidi guided the audience with his knowledge in the field of AR and instructed students in developing interesting projects using Unity software.The response by the attendees for this interactive experience of a real-world environment was overwhelming.
- Annual Tech Fest – Celestech’21
TechPioneers successfully organized their Annual Technical Fest CELESTECH‘21 on 3rd March 2021, in online mode. The day had multiple technical and fun-filled events. Inquizitive, quizzed the participants on their technical skills. Codathon tested the students’ coding skills on the HackerEarth platform. Internet Scavenger Hunt was an information-based/ puzzle hunt in which teams used their collective brainpower to solve clues. Celestech’21 received an overwhelming response in all its events. Over 100 students from various colleges across Delhi NCR enthusiastically participated in the events.
Inquisitive is a technical quiz that assesses your knowledge in order to determine the most logical response. It contained questions about current events, technological breakthroughs, and images, among other things. This event garnered 18 teams with a total of 23 participants.
Codathon is a programming competition that takes place online on HackerEarth and is open to solitary competitors. We had a total of 25 candidates show up for the test. Aryabhatta College, Ram Lal Anand College, MAIT, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, BVICAM, and other colleges were among the participants. Prizes were given to the top three finalists.
INTERNET SCAVENGER HUNT
Scavenger hunts are information-based hunts or puzzle hunts in which teams solve clues using their collective brainpower. This enjoyable activity was attended by twenty-four teams.The first round consisted of a 20-question MCQ quiz based on the Internet and current events in the tech world. Top 11 teams advanced to the championship round. The team with the most number solved answers won the event.
- Webinar on Technology Trends
Seeing the changes in the technology requirements in the industry, TechPioneers organized a webinar on “Technology Trends in 2021 and Career Opportunities” on 8th April 2021. Mr Jatinder Bansal, Asia CIO (Siegwerk), was the speaker for the webinar. Mr Bansal shared stories from his experience across different industry verticals, while sharing the current technology needs. The speaker gives a comprehensive list of trending career opportunities and the skills required for the same.
- Alumni Speak Series Webinars
The Council Members of TechPioneers conducted the Webinar series, “ALUMNI SPEAK SERIES”, where Computer Science Alumni share their experience and inspire the students.
Episode 3 had Ishant Malik (Batch 2016-19, Aryabhatta College) speaks on “Navigating Through Life of a Techie” (24th September 2021). He is pursuing his M.Sc in Computer Science from Itä-Suomen Yliopisto(University of Eastern Finland). The main objective was to make students aware about the courses that are essentially helpful, internship opportunities that should not be missed, difficulties that students face while choosing their career and what can they expect in interviews.
For the Episode 4, Manik Dahiya (Batch 2018-21, Aryabhatta College) conducted a workshop on “Quality Assurance (QA)” (29th January 2022). He is currently working in Wingify, VWO, as a Software Engineer 1- QA. The objective of the workshop was to enlighten the audience with knowledge about different aspects of QA and how to test a product to meet the requirement for the development of one’s country.In the Episode 5, Ashish Choudhary (Batch 2016-19, Aryabhatta College) spoke on “As Distinctive as You” (9th February 2022). He has completed his MBA from the IIM, Rohtak. The main objective of this session was to enlighten the audience with journey from BSc Computer Science to MBA and how he prepared for it. He discussed why MBA is one of the better options after undergraduate studies.
- Workshop Organized
TechPioneers successfully organized a Workshop on “Search Engine Optimization” (8th October 2021). The resource person Ms Yamini Katara, is a Digital Marketing Vertical Head and Corporate Trainer with CQS Training Pvt. Ltd.. The primary objective of this workshop was to make students aware of the various prospects of digital marketing and SEO which is one part of digital marketing . Different methods of SEO were discussed.
- Career Guidance Webinar
TechPioneers organized a webinar on “MCA as a Career” on 15th February, 2022. The webinar was presented by Landmark Institute, one of India’s most renowned institutes that prepares students for MCA entrance examinations. The speaker, Mr. Ankur Chadha, a senior instructor and educator from Landmark Institute explained all the pros and cons involved in the event of one choosing MCA as a post-graduate degree choice. He also broadly discussed about various premium colleges offering MCA degree and which are the best ones that UG students can eye for.
- Annual Tech Fest – Celestech’22
TechPioneers, successfully organized its Annual Technical Fest CELESTECH‘22 on 24th-25th February 2022, in online mode. Multiple technical and fun-filled events were organized. Inquizitive, quized the participants on their technical skills. Codathon tested the students’ coding skills. Dot-A-Design, had participants designing a webpage. Unicon, an online gaming competition (BGMI and Valorant). Internet Scavenger Hunt was an information-based/ puzzle hunt in which teams used their collective brainpower to solve clues. Celestech’22 received an overwhelming response in all its events. Over 250 students from various colleges across Delhi NCR and across India enthusiastically participated in the events.
- Instagram Series Edition
TechPioneers continued with its initiative of delivering news related to technology and analysis of emerging trends in tech through its Instagram Series. All the information was posted on the Instagram handle of TechPionees. The aim was to reach out to people with the latest and trending news of tech that may affect their life. The three series conducted in November 2021 and June 2022 were: InsighTech, Techabulary and TechTab.

Techpioneers, keeps up with the latest tech related news educating the youth of the college and beyond through a 3 post series on their social media platforms:
- InsighTech: This series covers the latest news related to technology, analysis of emerging trends in tech on a weekly basis. A weekly update of factual news is posted on the handle covering topics from all over the Internet.
- Techabulary: This series gives a brief introduction to the technical terms that are frequently used in the technology sector, preparing the youth for modern work culture.
- TechTab: This series is a cumulation of all the technological advancements including, but not limited to, the new/upcoming features, updates in applications.
