About Ram Lal Anand College
Ram Lal Anand College, established in 1964 by the esteemed Late Shri Ram Lal Anand, a distinguished senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India, emerged in response to the growing societal demand for higher education during the sixties. Initially under the management of the Ram Lal Anand College Trust, it was subsequently taken over by the University of Delhi in 1973, evolving into a University Maintained Institution.
Nestled in the serene surroundings against the scenic backdrop of the Aravalli ranges, the college finds its home in proximity to the South Campus of the University of Delhi and various other educational institutions. Initially managed by the Ram Lal Anand College Trust, the college later came under the administration of the University of Delhi in 1973, becoming a University Maintained Institution.
In 2014, Ram Lal Anand College (Evening) transformed and was renamed Aryabhatta College. This restructuring led to the division of the college’s area between the two institutions. Aryabhatta College is in the process of constructing a new building, with both colleges currently sharing the same sports ground. Upon completion of Aryabhatta College’s new facility, Ram Lal Anand College will reclaim the corresponding area.
