Delhi University is the first university striking in every fresh school pass-out’s mind. Flowing through the veins of the capital city, Delhi, DU’s presence is undeniable as thirsty students flock to the ghats year after year. Delhi University, renowned for its intellectual prowess, enormous campus, stunning older structures, extremely well-attended classes, extensive placements, high cut-off scores, and dedication to high-quality education in India and worldwide, is a dream university for many. 

Narrowly miss a century in your 12th-grade examinations by one mark? No worries! This year, the DU Admissions will be held based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024 score. 

Now the question arises which course a 12th pass-out should go for? Is it BCom Hons or Eco Hons, or any other course? This article will discuss 15 popular courses at Delhi University and their prospects! DU Admission Eligibility Criteria

The Admission Process at DU

Those who want to pursue UG admission at the country’s top & reputed universities must take and pass the CUET. More than 100 institutions will participate in CUET 2024, and the CUET score will be the sole criterion for granting UG admission. The merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance or qualifying examinations.

The National Testing Agency launched the CUET 2024 registration procedure at the official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in. The deadline for submitting the CUET application form 2024 has been extended to April 5, 2024. Candidates can complete the CUET 2024 application procedure by registering, offering the necessary paperwork, and paying the prerequisite price. 

The CUET city of examination will be revealed on May 6, 2024. The CUET admit card 2024 will be released in the second week of May. Results for CUET 2024 will be made public during the third week of June. Almost 13 lakh students apply for admission to popular courses at Delhi University each year. Several of these children are city and state champions and toppers, nearly reaching the 100 percentile in their 12th grade.

Application Form

An applicant must send a completed application form to be considered for DU admission. It should be emphasized that students should verify the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form since they will not be admitted if they do not match the requirements, and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

When will the DU application be made available?

The dates when the application form will likely be available are shown below.

  1. The application will be available on the DU Admission Portal.
  2. The application form for Undergraduate courses based on Merit List will be available in the first week of August 2024.

The application form requires the papers listed below.

  • Passport size picture and signature(Should be in JPEG/JPG format without exceeding the size of 50KB and dimensions of 2×2 inch)
  • 10th Board Result for confirmation of the date of birth(size should not exceed 150KB)
  • 12th Board mark sheet (Candidate can provide self-attested mark sheet if one has still not been provided from the board) 
  • Pay Certificate (for OBC-NCL) (If applicable)
  • Game Certificate(s) for the most recent three years (If applicable).
  • Caste Certificate(should not exceed 150KB)
  • Up-and-comer’s Personal, Qualifications, Guardians, Communications, and different subtleties.
  • Valid Email ID & Mobile Number.
  • Extra Curricular Activities Certificate(s) (If applicable).
