Our mission at Maharshi Valmiki College of Education is to strive for excellence in the field of teacher education; foster an environment for teachers to acquire knowledge, skills and values necessary for the realization of potential; and empower teachers to become agents of social transformation.

History

Maharshi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE) originated in 1968, under the aegis of Kshetriya Vikas Pratishthan. The college was established as an institute for training teachers and as a forum to promote quality education within the district of Ratlam. Under the leadership of Shri Mohanlal Gajja, the college adopted innovative techniques and emerged as a leader in teacher preparation programs in the region.

Since its establishment, MVCE has strived to achieve high standards of academic excellence. It is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, which provides both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in education. The college also offers specializations in multiple subject areas including science, literature, mathematics, economics, psychology and computer science. MVCE also offers certificate courses such as English language proficiency classes and advanced diploma courses like digital learning technology.

Over the years, MVCE has gained recognition for its commitment to quality education and dedicated faculty members who are committed to enriching learning experiences for students. It has been recognized by several national-level organizations such as National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE). Additionally, it has been recognized by UGC-AICTE for facilitating student exchange programs with institutes outside India.

The college assists students through various academic support services such as career counselling, academic guidance and co-curricular activities.
