The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2024 is a national-level test scheduled to be held from 15 May 2024 across India for admissions in Central and participating universities to various courses/programmes at the undergraduate level. At present approx. 170 Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges are participating in CUET (UG) – 2024.

The scoring is based on the CUET marking scheme, after normalizing the candidate will be provided with the CUET Scorecard. The CUET result will include the percentile and Score of individual subjects. Delhi University is one of the prestigious universities participating in CUET UG, by offering Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, Science and Commerce subjects.

There is no fixed CUET good score for DU admission, but a minimum score of 350-400 out of 800 is generally required to qualify. The minimum score may vary depending on the program, department, and college one wishes to apply.

Most programs require at least 60% passing marks in CUET for DU. However, achieving the min. CUET score doesn’t always guarantee a seat, as availability and other variables also affect admission rounds. The university also considers reduced minimum scores for all reserved categories.

Variable Factors Influencing Admission in DU through CUET

As already mentioned, the CUET good score for DU along with other variable factors also impacts your chances of getting in. Some of them are :

  1. The no. of candidates applying for the course.
  2. The difficulty level of the test.
  3. No. of seats available for the course.
  4. Academic history and 12th results can also be considered in case of tie-breakers.

All these factors can reduce or increase the chances of candidates for admission purposes.

A score of approx 400-500 is regarded as a minimum or low score in CUET for DU, according to the analysis of the exam results. Those students who score within this range in the CUET 2024 may be able to get a seat in Off-Campus colleges of DU in less preferred courses like the BA program. The chances of getting into top colleges increase with the decrease in the cut-off marks if seats are available.

Average Score in CUET

Results ranging from 500-600 scores in CUET for DU can be regarded as an average score for admission of those candidates who want to apply to In-Campus colleges of DU in programmes like BA hons, B.COM program. 

High Score in CUET

CUET good score for DU top colleges must be 700 and above. One with this score range can apply to the reputed colleges in the North Campus and South Campus of  DU. More than this, a CUET good score for DU admission can range between  600-650 for various B.Sc courses.

Candidates of the General category with a CUET good score for DU of 720-800 can secure their seats at DU, in-campus colleges-Hindu College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Miranda House, and Lady Shri Ram College for Women, etc. The SC/ST and other reserved categories can also apply for the north and south campuses, with a reduced CUET good score for DU of 650-750.

The first cut-off score in CUET for DU’s top colleges is usually set very high, admissions opens at around the 99-100 percentile mark in the exam.

CUET good score for DU is essential to get admission to the most prestigious colleges in North Campus, including Miranda House, Hindu College, St. Stephen’s College and Shri Ram College of Commerce, as well as those in South Campus like Lady Shri Ram College, typically require applicants to have achieved top ranks in the entrance exam.
