The next step is to deeply evaluate the syllabus of your subject. Then, write down all your subjects to make a list that will help to start your preparation.

Refrain from overloading yourself with so many books. Keep the number of books very limited and focus on the most important topics in the syllabus of the UGC NET JRF Exam. We all know that in this exam there is no such thing as negative marking, so focus more on the important topics.

According to your strengths and weak points, you must plan your every strategy. Your weak areas should seek more attention and energy and then review all the things.

UGC NET JRF Previous Year Paper

Solve as much as PYQs as you can

Make a proper timetable with ample time for study and rest

Make a realistic schedule or timetable that will help you to focus on your aims. In this way, achieving your daily requirements of study doses can be completed. Creating a timetable that is very impractical can lead to the unavoidable stress of not finishing the decided task.

Here are a few tips to make a practical timetable for your UGC NET JRF exam journey:

  • At least study for 8-10 hours per day
  • Write down the plans for the rest of the day in the  morning
  • Choose your priorities
  • Take breaks of 30 minutes to 1 hour between long study sessions
  • Make sure to concentrate equally on all the subjects
  • Do not distract yourself while studying
  • Complete the topic you’ve chosen

Make proper notes and revise them thoroughly

While preparing for the UGC NET JRF exam, you should make hand-written notes as per your understanding. These types of notes will help you save time and energy in the last stage of your preparation or just a few weeks before your exam.

Making handmade notes will help you avoid reading multiple books to get the information and facts for revision. In a survey, it was concluded that people remember and can easily memorise the things they have already written.

UGC NET JRF Mock Test

Attempt mock tests to speed up your preparation

Solving mock tests is the best way to evaluate your performance and it will also increase your confidence for the UGC NET JRF exam. Begin with short questions or MCQs, if you are scared of long and time taking tests. Mock tests will help you to gain experience and knowledge. You must always evaluate your performance after taking an exam. Then you must work on your weak points.

Do revision very seriously and consistently

If you are someone who takes the revision part very lightly, then it is a matter of concern. Revision is very crucial to crack the UGC NET exam on the first attempt. If you have completed one topic then try to revise the topic in that same week to increase your grasp. The most crucial part is to complete your entire revision 2 weeks before the exam and revise again 4-to 5 days before the exam.

Avoid taking stress a day before the exam

Keeping your mind calm and avoiding negativity is the best thing you can do for yourself 1 day before any exam. If any student is very negative and says negative words like “I will fail”, “I can’t do it” etc then it will affect their overall performance. It can also affect the result. If you think positively then you will be more active, and focused and will be able to crack the exam.

How to Avoid Stress Before Exams
