WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Phase: Ignition
Back in 2012, Enactus Ramjas joined hands with an NGO, based in Jahangirpuri, called Aradhaga. We helped them with the basic training for sewing, knitting, weaving and some other skills to ensure that they are skilled enough to earn a basic level of income for themselves.Since then, project aradhaga has been an emotional initiative for Enactus Ramjas which aims to ensure an inclusive world for everyone around us. The thread (Dhaga) of togetherness is stronger than ever today!

Project Inaayat
LIFE BELOW WATER
Phase: Implementation
Project Inaayat is an initiative towards tackling the issues of clean water and climate action through effective utilization of water hyacinth – an aquatic weed that has invaded freshwater systems in over 50 countries across the world.
Water hyacinth, natively known as Jalkumbhee, doubles its population in 5 days; forming dense, impenetrable mats that clog waterways, blocking sunlight and reducing dissolved oxygen levels underwater by 30%.
We strive to curtail water pollution caused by water hyacinths & protect various life-forms below water by ethically uprooting the water weed and transforming it into sustainable useful products.
Project Avenues
Currently, our main avenue is handicrafts made out of water hyacinths. The product line includes coasters, table mats and baskets made by extracting and processing the water weed. These products are a sustainable alternative to their plastic counterparts. The handicrafts are made by our beneficiaries belonging to the refugee community based in Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi.
Mission
At Project Inaayat, aim towards improving the environmental conditions by effectively utilising the hidden prospects of water hyacinths while providing sustainable opportunities for economic development.

Project Khwab
SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION
Phase: Implementation
India generates 9.46 million tonnes of plastic waste annually out of which 40 per cent remains uncollected and 43 per cent is used for packaging, most of which is single-use.Project Khwab is an initiative towards substantially reducing this non-biodegradable waste from degrading the quality of the water bodies and landmasses.
Khwab, resonates our “dream for a better planet”. It is an initiative to develop a culture of sustainable consumption in India. With our entrepreneurs spread across various communities, we create a range of zero-waste and sustainable products for personal care, that prevents tonnes of plastic from going into landfills and oceans. Our entreprenurs are specially-abled individuals, who are provided with online training on the basis of our comprehensive research and development. A significant proportion of the revenue goes to them, thus ensuring substantial levels of income for community.
Present Avenues
Our present avenue is bifurcated into two branches. Firstly, producing soap tablets, which are single use dissolvable drops and secondly, shampoo and conditioner bars, which are curated with immensely nourishing ingredients. Our products contain no plastic packaging at all. Instead, we use eco-friendly packaging methods which prevent any addition of harmful chemicals to out surroundings.
Future Avenues
We hope to build a novel avenue which will redirect the plastic waste to the relevant stakeholders for converting the same into utility products. In this entire system, a circular economy model would be established where we look forward to eliminate any use of plastic in the first place.
Mission
We aim towards creating zero-waste alternatives to daily essentials like shampoos and regular liquid hand washes, reducing landfills created out of shampoo bottles at it’s core, by integrating dreams of Team members and entrepreneurs.

Project Swabun
SANITATION
Phase: Implementation
Over 377 million urban people live in 7,935 towns and cities and generate 62 million tonnes of municipal solid waste per annum. Only 43 million tonnes of the waste is collected, 11.9 million tonnes is treated and 31 million tonnes is dumped in landfill sites.
Project Swabun is an initiative towards better sanitation and waste management practices apart from being an attempt to work against water, land and air pollution. We move together towards building sustainable products and making them accessible, acceptable and affordable.
Project Avenues
Past Avenue
Seher and Dravya: The project involved procuring one-time-used soaps from hotels and resorts followed by recycling them into new soaps by employing underprivileged women who have been victims of substance abuse and prostitution.
Present Avenue
Presently, The main avenue is the Matka Composter. To reduce the issues related to careless disposal and inefficient waste management practices, we devised an eco friendly model of a terracotta home composter which is a stack of 3 terracotta pots and helps in the systematic process of composting. The compost is then put to various uses by different groups of people and ensures an eco friendly approach towards waste in general. The composters are made by the potters of the Kumhar Colony, who find an alternative source of income through this avenue.
Mission
At Project Swabun, aim towards a safer and healthier environment by ensuring proper sanitation and efficient waste management practices. Easier access to cleaner options for ensuring sanitation is our utmost priority.

Project Waraq
FOOD SECURITY
Phase: Implementation
20 million tons of agro-waste is being burnt in the states of Haryana and Punjab every year. The majority of them are Rice Straw which doesn’t have any market value. 25 million people suffer in Delhi NCR due to severe air pollution caused by this agro-waste burning. India is home to 46.6 million stunted children, most of them lacking the basic nutrients. Over 7000 indians die of hunger every day. 50% of the elderly population of India is suffering from malnutrition. Apart from this, Of the estimated 5,600 tonnes of plastic waste generated in India daily, a huge portion of single-use plastic in our collective footprint comes from dining cutlery.
Project Waraq aims to tackle the three-fold issue of food insecurity, Air Pollution and Unemployment. Our biodegradable plates are a special eco-friendly product made from post-consumer materials like stubble and agricultural waste embedded with vegetable seeds.
Project Avenues
Our biodegradable plates are a special eco-friendly product made from post-consumer materials like stubble and agricultural waste embedded with vegetable seeds. When you plant the plate after use, in a pot of soil or outside in a garden, the seeds in the paper germinate and grow into plants. After using the plate, it will be taken care of by our beneficiaries and effectively be used by planting it into soil, which will grow into an all new plant providing vegetables/fruit. After the whole production process these vegetables and fruits will eliminate the food insecurity of the malnourished students in the school.
Mission
Not only are we working towards curbing two of the major environmental evils of stubble burning and disposable plastics, we are creating a circular flow of food production and consumption by enhancing the nutrition level in food of children within the student age bracket while also advancing our goals towards afforestation. Project Waraq aims to tackle the problem of food insecurity, Air Pollution, Unemployment.

The Digital Project
DIGITALIZATION
India’s literacy has increased drastically since independence but we still don’t seem to reach a point where every individual has the basic level of knowledge required to ensure decent growth. Without education, there will be absolutely no progress in any of the socio-economic sector.
With this in mind, The Digital Project (e-Pathशाला) was one such initiative by Enactus Ramjas which aimed to bridge the gap between the learners and the ones who could possibly provide the required knowledge.
To move past the stigma, we ensured that the educators belong to the group which has been discriminated since forever: HIV victims, acid attack survivors, senior citizens and the differently abled.
“Because, education indeed has no boundaries!”
