History of Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research

The Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) was established in 1964 under the aegis of the Government of India by an Act of Parliament. It has since become one of the premier institutions in India dedicated to providing top-notch Pharmaceutical Education, Research, and Services.

The foundation stone of DIPSAR was laid down on March 28th, 1964, by the then Prime Minister, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, who envisioned an institute producing ethical and technically sound pharmacists contributing to the strengthening of India’s public healthcare system.
