BA Multimedia and Mass Communication: Eligibility Criteria 

BA Multimedia and Mass Communication welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds, embracing individuals from all streams. To be eligible, candidates must attain a best-of-four aggregate of a minimum of 60%. The college calculates the overall grade by considering English marks from either the top three academic subjects or two academic subjects and one vocational topic.

  • This course is open to students globally, regardless of their academic specialisation. However, our emphasis lies on qualities such as creativity, strong writing skills, and general awareness.
  • Eligibility criteria for the BMMMC course require candidates to have completed class 12 in any stream from a recognized board. Additionally, it is essential to achieve an aggregate score of at least 50% to 60% in class 12 to qualify for admission.

BA Multimedia and Mass Communication: Entrance Exams

Admission to the BA Multimedia and Mass Communication course relies on candidates’ performance in the entrance exams conducted by various institutes and universities. The entrance exam pattern typically includes multiple-choice questions covering general awareness, media awareness, current affairs, English comprehension, and skills in grammar and analysis.

Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam

The entrance exam for the Master of Arts (Mass Communication) program at Jamia Millia Islamia is known as the JMI Entrance Exam M.A. (Mass Communication). This examination is the gateway to securing admission to the M.A. (Mass Communication) course at Jamia Millia Islamia University.

IIMC Entrance Exam

The IIMC Entrance Exam, administered by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA) in conjunction with CUET is a computer-based test. It comprises multiple-choice questions and objective-type questions. Successful candidates in the entrance exam proceed to a Personal Interview, and upon clearing both stages, they secure admission to the diverse courses available at IIMC.

ACJ Entrance Exam

The Asian College of Journalism administers the ACJ Entrance Exam to grant admission to its various postgraduate diploma courses. The available diplomas are:

  • PG Diploma in Journalism
  • PG Diploma in Business and Financial Journalism (BFJ)

Conducted annually, the ACJ entrance exam is a computer-based test designed to assess candidates in two main areas: English language skills and general knowledge. Following the exam, there is an online interview. Starting in 2023, the ACJ exam adopts a staggered ongoing admission process, meaning it occurs at regular intervals throughout the year.

FTII Entrance Exam

Admission is determined through the nationally conducted Joint Entrance Test (JET), followed by rounds of Orientation and Interviews. Selection is based on JET scores as well as performance in the orientation and interviews. After the JET, the list of candidates progressing to the next selection stage will be posted on the institute’s website. Shortlisted candidates will receive interview letters directly from the institute.
