About The Finance and Investment Cell of Aryabhatta College
The Finance and Investment Cell of Aryabhatta College is a student body which was initiated in 2017, with a vision to promote knowledge-sharing among students on matters of finance, economics and geopolitics. Since its inception, FIC Aryabhatta has grown by leaps and bounds, establishing itself as one of the most eminent societies in the university circuit. Rigorous research sessions, monthly campaigns, social projects, national and international group discussions, newsletters and speaker sessions are some activities that define the Cell and its members.
Vision of FIC
With a strong belief that good knowledge about matters concerning finance and its management are crucial in determining the success of an individual, we at FIC Aryabhatta, work together to achieve a better financial understanding while learning about its effective management. We, a team of 80+ like minded individuals, with a passion to promote a mature financial understanding amongst people, dream of a financially literate and independent India. Through our constant efforts, we strive to make this dream a reality and thus, organise various fests and events at national level. From speaker sessions to group discussions and from application based stimulative competitions to fun filled activities, we host a multitude of events, providing innumerable opportunities to gain knowledge.

- MESHA COLLABORATION EVENTS
Having real-time experience of how the stock market works is imperative for sound financial judgments in the future. Keeping this in view The Finance and Investment Cell conducted a series of events in collaboration with Mesha for increasing the financial knowledge of the youth of this nation. The Finance and Investment Cell of Aryabhatta College organised a webinar with Mr Tahem Veer Verma, co-founder of Mesha. In this era of globalisation and modernization, cryptocurrency has emerged as one of the best avenues of investment. Now being a highly famous avenue, it comes up with several doubts. Moreover, as it is the newly emerged avenue, hence it becomes more cumbersome to understand this highly complex system of crypto.
- FINOMENA
We organised our first-ever annual conclave, ‘Finomena- Deliberating Ideas, Directing Minds’ on 23rd and 24th January 2021. This event initiated discussions and deliberations with significant personalities from diversified fields to steer young minds in the right direction. There were renowned speakers from diverse fields namely, Ms Meenakshi Lekhi – Member of Parliament New Delhi, Federico Salas – Mexican Ambassador to India, Mr Arvind Mayaram – Ex-Finance Secretary and Economic Advisor to Rajasthan CM, Mitali Nikore – Founder of Nikore Associates, Harish Iyer – Human Right Activist, Sharad Sagar – Founder and CEO of Dexterity Global, Mr Ashok Vajpeyi – Poet and former civil servant and Mr Sunny Garg – Founder of ae! The event turned out to be a great success with more than 6000+ views.
- EUPHONY 2021
Euphony is the annual flagship event of FIC Aryabhatta. This year it incorporated a wide range of dynamic finance-related events. The event aimed to ignite the competitive spirit among young minds. It provided them with a plethora of competitions and activities to perform and sharpen up their skills. Euphony helped the students in enhancing their knowledge about the various nuances of finance. Our objective was to provide a fun and practical experience which will help the students in improving their research and analytical thinking skills.
- VIRTUAL ROUND TABLE ON INDIA-MEXICO RELATIONS
On the 3rd of April, Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi organised an International Round Table Conference on the topic ‘An in-depth look into the aspects of 70 years of India-Mexico Relations’ with Mexican postgraduates. The event was organised by the Finance and Investment Cell of the college in collaboration with The India-Mexico youth Forum, Global Youth. The event opened with a welcome address by Prof. Manoj Sinha- Principal, Aryabhatta College.
Projects
- INDO-MEXICO INTER UNIVERSITY DIALOGUE
India and Mexico share a long and enduring relationship across varied sectors and domains. To further the cordial relationship between the two nations, the Embassy of Mexico in India organised an Inter-University Dialogue between the college students of India and Mexico. FIC was the only society that represented Delhi University. Through the healthy exchange of ideas, an effort is being made to further enhance the already friendly relations between the two countries. India and Mexico share a very cordial and warm relationship. From the lush green Sierra Madre to the lofty Himalayas many threads connect India and Mexico in a dynamic mesh of relationship, touching many lives across both tries.
- FIC CHARCHA
Charcha is our flagship podcast series to fulfil our audience’s learning and entertainment needs. The initiative, sponsored by Uniline Energy India and the Delhi School of Communications, serves as a forum for students to interact with pioneers from diversified fields and expand their knowledge base. So far, we have had discussions on various Finance, Business and Economics topics with coveted personalities.
- ABSOLUTE ADVANTAGE
FIC Aryabhatta launched the first edition of its annual magazine Absolute Advantage in 2021. The magazine is a celebration of the vast and ever-changing world. We made the important topics more interesting to read through our issue and provided an absolute advantage in the quest to become a well-rounded individual. We truly believe that literature is a vital instrument for enlightening, inspiring, and impacting people.
