IIT Bombay as a Functional Organisation

IIT Bombay functions as an autonomous institute and deemed university, with its governance entrusted to a board of governors chaired by the President of India. It functions under the direction of the IIT Council, which was founded by the Indian Ministry of Education (formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development). A director nominated by the Ministry serves a five-year term as its leader.

Students generally ask how much rank is required for IIT Bombay? To secure admission to IIT Bombay, one must approach the process with precision. This year, the competition was intense, with over 11 lakh students vying for a spot in session 1 of the JEE Main, aiming for prestigious institutions like IIT Bombay.

Sports

Situated just a brief stroll from the Main Gate, the principal entrance to the campus, these cozy accommodations are surrounded by verdant lawns, pathways, and a pond bustling with a lively community of geese. With picturesque views and mesmerizing sunsets over Powai Lake, adjacent to the Jalvihar Guest House, and the Vanvihar enveloped by lush foliage, the guest house exudes an idyllic charm that captivates guests from academia, alumni, and the families of students alike.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay boasts a dedicated training and placement cell managing its on-campus recruitment activities. With an impressive lineup of over 350 companies expected to participate in the placement season, the event extends until December. Notably, during the initial stages, approximately 40 companies conducted interviews across two slots. Day 1 witnessed a substantial 80% increase in regular recruiters compared to the previous year.

Renowned companies such as Procter and Gamble, Sony Japan, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and the Tata Group were among the participants in the IIT Bombay placement drive. The event saw the acceptance of over 200 Pre Placement Offers. In total, 1898 job offers were extended to students, out of which 1516 were accepted for the 2022-2023 placement session.

IIT Bombay set impressive benchmarks with IIT Bombay’s average package reaching Rs 1.68 crore per annum and the highest international package touching Rs 3.67 crore per annum (equivalent to USD 2.87 lakh). Below are the details of the placement process at IIT Bombay.
