To reach the 90 percentile mark, it is important to maintain a positive outlook and focus on improving your strengths. It is not very challenging to score 90 percentile marks in JEE Mains.

You would need a good strategy and hard work. This is quite achievable with proper preparation and a focus on the key topics.

Scoring a 90 percentile in JEE Mains means securing a rank between 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 in the exam. This rank opens up opportunities to pursue your desired course at top institutions like IITs, NITs, or IISc Bangalore.

Many professionals and previous rank holders suggest that it is feasible to achieve 90 percentile marks in JEE Mains with the right kind of practice.

In this article, we will discuss some tips to help you achieve 90 percentile marks in the upcoming JEE Mains exam.

How to attempt more questions in JEE Mains

Strategies to Achieve 90 Percentile Marks in JEE Mains

To achieve 90 percentile marks in JEE Mains, it is important to make a list of your strong and weak topics in each subject. This will help you prioritise your focus areas. Proper planning is crucial to manage your preparation time.

Following the refreshing activities is also very important to reduce study-related stress. Distribute equal time to all the subjects.

To make your preparation more organised you need to create a revision schedule that focuses on specific topics and chapters.

Creating short notes with all the important formulas will also help you in quick revision before the exam. This will save you time and help you regain your knowledge.

For the students who are giving their 1st attempt, it is advisable to stick to one primary source for your study materials instead of using multiple sources available in the market. This will help you maintain consistency in your learning.

Do not take stress. Learn from your mistakes. Practice consistently to improve your skills as the toppers do. Solving mock tests is essential. It will help you improve your self-confidence and also build the right exam temperament.

It will familiarise you with the exam pattern and help you manage your time effectively during the actual JEE Main examination and will help you to achieve 90 percentile marks in JEE Mains.

Strategies to Attempt Questions for JEE Mains

To achieve 90 percentile marks in JEE Mains, it is essential not only to have a strong grasp of the topics but also to follow a smart exam strategy. Achieving success in the JEE Main exam demands more than just knowledge of the subject matter.

How to clear JEE mains
  1. Stay Calm

It is very important to stay composed before your exam. Just close your eyes and practise short mindfulness practices for a couple of minutes if anxiety starts to sneak in. Remember that the exam only lasts three hours. Do not let your concerns about the questions or results rule your thoughts.

Do not panic about how well-prepared you are, you need to just concentrate on giving your hundred per cent. The result will definitely be in your favour.

  1. Read All the Instructions Carefully

Reading the information and Instructions about any examination is very necessary. This information is primarily aimed at students who haven’t had the opportunity to engage in online mock tests for the JEE Main examination.

It’s essential for these individuals to become familiar with the various aspects of the online test-taking process, including selecting, reviewing, and submitting their answers, as well as accessing the full question paper and utilizing the timer feature, among other functions. Gaining proficiency in these aspects will be highly advantageous for their performance in the JEE Main exam.

  1. Attempt the Simple Questions First

When the exam starts, take a moment to glance at the question paper briefly (just a quick scan, not a detailed reading) in case you need to make a strategic choice. Instead, check if you notice any section that seems more manageable than your preferred one. It’s a good idea to tackle the easier section first.

Similarly, within each section, begin with the simpler questions. Keep in mind that both difficult and easy questions carry the same point value. Prioritising the challenging sections and questions right away can be a time-wasting approach and might dent your confidence.

  1. Time Management

This is a crucial aspect to consider. If you’ve been preparing with mock tests in advance of the exam, it’s vital to recognize the importance of time management during the actual test. Avoid dedicating the bulk of your time to solving questions from just one section. Instead, allocate specific time slots for each section.

Try to finish the questions within the allotted time. It may greatly help you in managing the amount of time during the exam assuming you are able to accomplish it. Avoid wasting time on that after the stipulated time for the current part has ended. Save that for the end.
