The Delhi University Students’ Union, or DUSU Elections 2024, election officials have been declared by the University of Delhi. This election will have two phases for students. The elections are set to take place on September 27, 2024. The nomination and withdrawal procedure will conclude on September 20, at which point the final list of candidates will be released to the public.

The DUSU Elections 2024 management team has made its formal announcement, along with the names of their executives, for the 2024 election. On September 4, 2024, the Vice Chancellor’s authorised appointments were announced. The announcement names Prof. Satyapal Singh of the Department of Sanskrit as the Chief Election Officer. He will supervise and guarantee a smooth and equitable electoral process.

Two eminent faculty members will monitor this year’s election. The election advisor will be Professor Chander Shekhar of the Persian Department. In the interim, Chief Returning Officer Prof. Raj Kishore Sharma of the Department of Chemistry will assume the responsibility. The election process will be conducted fairly and with ease thanks to their leadership.

On September 27, 2024, votes will be cast by University of Delhi students in two waves. The candidates running for central council seats and student union office bearers for the 2024–25 academic year will be chosen via DUSU Elections 2024. The official university website now has the entire election timetable available. Students will cast ballots to select members of the central council in addition to choosing the office bearers.

The deadline for nominations for the DUSU Elections 2024 is September 19, 2024. Nominations must be received by 3:00 PM on that day. Later that evening, at 6:00 PM, the list of authorised nominees will be released to the public. In this method, candidates will be able to confirm that they are participating in the election process.

Those candidates who would like to withdraw their candidacy must do so by September 20 at noon. This information appears overly automated. Following this cutoff, at 5:00 PM on the same day, the final list of applicants will be released to the public.

The election is set between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM on September 27, and day students will have the chance to cast their ballots within this period. The voting window for evening class participants will be available from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The schedule’s specifics are given below.
