Delhi University Student Union announced the Summer Internship 2023 program which coincides with the university’s historic centennial. The program provides undergraduate and graduate students, including those enrolled in the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), with an unparalleled opportunity.
The Summer Internship 2023 Scheme would help open doors to various fields and disciplines as part of the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and nurturing future leaders.
DUSU – A Powerhouse of Student Advocacy
The Delhi University Students Union, commonly abbreviated as DUSU, serves as the official representative organization for students across various colleges and faculties within Delhi University.
Additionally, each college has its student union to which elections are held every year. The student elections are keenly and enthusiastically conducted.
On 28th May 2023, the Delhi University Student Council announced the launching of a summer internship scheme to provide practical learning opportunities and internship opportunities for students.
DUSU announced the Summer Internship 2023 Program, for over 1000 students enrolled in the School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) that would help them gain practical experience and learning opportunities.
Purpose of the program
The Summer Internship 2023 program will assist them with acquiring practical skills, industry exposure, and professional development during their summer break. Additionally, the Summer Internship 2023 program aims to bring forth several internship opportunities for students.
The internship opportunities for students would last for a duration of 8 to 12 weeks, providing the students with abundant time to engage themselves in their roles and gain practical hands-on experience, something which would be lacking with the general academic-based programs of the university.
As highlighted by India TV “The program offers an assorted variety of internship placements opportunities in collaboration with well-known organizations both within and outside the local community. Students can choose from a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to business, engineering, science and technology, arts, and social sciences” read the statement given by a student union representative.
The program, as DUSU announced the Summer Internship 2023 program, would help students attain knowledge regarding the practical application of the theories they learned in their academic curriculum, as well as gain skills important for better job opportunities such as time management, problem-solving, creativity, etc.

The DUSU announced the Summer Internship 2023 program which offers the following benefits to the students as per the comments by the authorities of the student council:

DUSU announced the Summer Internship 2023 Program which provides a variety of internships under different disciplines. Some of the common types of internships provided under the scheme are as follows:-
- Corporate Internships: These internships provide practical experience and exposure to the corporate world.
- Research Internships: These internships can enhance research skills and contribute to academic and professional development with the help of research projects.
