Few Steps you need to incorporate before giving the entrance exam

Few Steps you need to incorporate before giving the entrance exam

Research and choose your dream stream

Before filling out the form for the DU application, you need to understand its process and how t crack the entrance exam. For this, you must research your present options and courses offered by DU. DU offers several courses to develop and skill yourself in all fields like science, commerce, arts, law, and professional. Before applying, you must invest your time in the course you want to pursue at DU. After doing this, get set and ready to enter your dream college by following the comprehensive guide for Delhi University’s entrance exams.

Cross-check your eligibility criteria to grab the seat

Selecting the course is not enough; you have to start your process by selecting the eligibility criteria for that course and college. There are no uniform eligibility criteria for all the courses; all courses have different criteria, varying college-wise. You need to keep a note that you are meeting the criteria before applying for that college and course.

How to Apply Online?

After Covid’19, everything has become online, and so does the DU. DU forms or admission forms are out online from where you can fill out the application form. You can check the DU’s official website for that. The form is expected to release in May or June, and the deadline is usually more than 15 days, around June or July.

You need to ensure that the whole application or admission form process is submitted before the set deadline. Late forms won’t be eligible for application in any course or university.

Entrance Test or CUET

Yes, only applying is not sufficient. You need to crack the DU entrance exam. You need to be fully aware of it. The university has conducted entrances for all the colleges in the past year. You need to be fully prepared for this exam. Make sure to follow the comprehensive guide for Delhi University’s entrance exam.

Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET)

The following content will be a perfect comprehensive guide for Delhi University’s entrance exam. Delhi University offers admission through CUET or Central University Entrance Test. It provides admissions for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. DU provides CUET for some major courses of DU. The previous year CUET was conducted from September 6 to September 11 through CBT Mode. The entrance to the undergraduate has based on two things. Delhi University is based on Class XII scores of the student for the applying subject + the entrance exam results.

The Comprehensive Guide for Delhi University’s Entrance Exam, Ways to crack it

Before looking at the Comprehensive Guide for Delhi University’s Entrance Exams, we need to understand what CUET is.

What is CUET?

What is CUET

The Ministry of Education under the Government of India has established National Testing Agency, an autonomous, independent and self-sustained testing organization. This is conducted under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 to conduct a standard examination for every applicant willing to apply for a high educational centre.

The Central University Entrance Test (CUET) will be conducted under the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) supervision for the applicants in 2022. The CUET is conducted for different programs among different central universities, providing a single way to get admission.

In the year 2023, there will be two slots of 195 minutes and 225 minutes conducted. Which incorporates language, Domain-Specific, and General Tests are the three domains in which examination is conducted.

You need to be fully prepared if you appear for the 2023 CUET examination. You can easily crack the examination through proper self-study and instructions.

Now let us look at the strategies to ace the CUET examination.

Follow the below-mentioned steps to ace CUET

  • Understand the Examination Syllabus
  • Check the examination pattern
  • Make a proper timetable
  • Practice from available sample papers, or The more you practice more you gain: Practice the mock tests
  • Stay optimistic

Understand the Examination Syllabus

After the procedure mentioned above, start preparing for your CUET examination. First, you have to be thoroughly clear with the syllabus and what is going to be coming in the examination. This will help you to narrower the broader syllabus into short parts. Now you need to evaluate each topic’s importance and the grade assigned against each content.

The topic you need to cover is the whole syllabus of CUET before starting to learn the syllabus. If you don’t understand the syllabus, then you will definitely miss something or something from the syllabus. You may not understand what you have to study first and what can still be left or ignored.

Check the whole examination process

Before studying for any examination, you have to understand the whole examination pattern. We can comprehend how we can divide our syllabus and study through examination patterns. All the Under Graduate students who are applying for Central University Entrance Test should review the whole examination pattern of CUET 2023.

If you need to know where you can check the whole information about the CUET exam pattern, then you should check out the official website of CUET. There you can find the details about the marking scheme, the type of questions that will come, examination duration, type of questions, and how many seats are there after the CUET exam pattern.

Create a proper Schedule/Timetable

A proper schedule with a correct timetable can help you ace the CUET examination easily. Creating a student timetable is very crucial and difficult to make. You have to make your examination schedule which you can follow every day. Adding irrealistic targets won’t help you at any point; it will demotivate you if you don’t accomplish your target.

You also need to understand that you must study both for your board and the CUET exams.

Take out the majority of your time for board examination study and 2 hours for CUET.

Here are the pointers you need to follow-

  • Bring one diary and pen
  • Take a look at the calendar
  • Be clear with your priorities
  • Be clear with your long study hours
  • Take care of your health, and don’t be stressed out
  • Have a good sleep so that you don’t sleep during the study hours
  • Have a healthy diet

Practice from sample papers

Aspirants for CUET 2023 should be ready with sample papers for CUET 2023. This will help you to understand the exam structure and ace the examination. You will have similar sample papers of class 12th that of CUET 2023. As per the recommendations of NTA mock tests, the CUET sample pacers have questions related to case-based questions, table-based match the following answers, also assertion-based wrong statement based, several domains.

Stay Optimistic

Optimism is essential for overcoming any obstacle or hurdle; the same goes for admission to your dream college. You need to be motivated and think optimistically and introspect about how your exam results will affect the future planning that you have done. You can ask your parents or friends, or if they don’t help, you can go for professional help.

You need to thoroughly rest along with your studies as you have higher chance of being burned out without rest.

You just don’t have to go again and again for your studies, have a good break to refresh yourself. You can do your favourite activity for some time and start again with your studies as this will bring more concentration.

You can spend time with your family/friends and sometimes with yourself by listening to music or dancing; it is up to you. You should have at least 6-7 hours of sleep daily, as, without good sleep, you can’t focus properly.

Conclusion

However, while following this Comprehensive Guide for Delhi University’s Entrance Exams, remember that too much content can make you forget everything; it is better to learn until you can retain it. Also, the language section is expected to be easy to attempt, so you can try devoting your time to some other subject.

If you are preparing for both the board exam and the CUET exam, you can divide your timetable accordingly. For example, 4-6 hours for board exams and 2-3 hours for the CUET board exam.
