About Pravah of Bharati College
Pravah means flow. The society is created to understand the continuous flow of society from past to present and to prepare them for future through hands-on experience. The history society aims to inculcate a spirit of inquiry into the past, and the objective is to nurture scientific temper and rational thinking. The society constitutes of all the faculty members and the students. However, to look into the activities of the society, student representatives are elected through democratic process for the post of President, Secretary and Treasurer. The society is instrumental in conducting academic talks, seminars, as well as visit to heritage sites in and outside Delhi. These activities allow students to get first hand experience of understanding of relevant topics from experts and sharpens their critical thought process. Similarly, visits to heritage sites enables the students to gain visual understanding of the past and promotes imagination, specially crucial for enabling an understanding of the past.
