Electronic Voting Machines, which were used to elect DUSU’s central panel—consisting of positions for president, vice president, secretary, and joint secretary—were securely stored in a strong room within DU’s examination department.

For the election of college representatives, DU utilised traditional ballot papers, which have been stored securely within individual colleges and under police watch. An official from DU, speaking to the media expressed the university’s commitment to ensuring a clean and fair vote-counting process. “Most of the cleaning work has already been completed,” the official stated, referring to efforts to restore the campus environment after the defacement. “The EVMs and ballot papers will be opened in the presence of the Election Commission’s team to maintain transparency,” the official added, emphasizing DU’s efforts to meet the court’s stipulations.
